Riding into the sunset...Goodbye 2010

I can't wait to get my new camera. This picture wasn't the best. 2010 has flown by so
fast. We had some big first in 2010. Zach first birthday and Kailey's first year of full day pre-k, Kailey's first year of swimming lessons, Kailey's first dentist apt. that surprised Kailey had 6 cavities and now she doesn't fight me to brush her teeth. Zach got to go swimming at the water park for the first time. Zach went to his first carnival and loved it. Zach had his first Easter, Valentines Day, St Patrick Day, 4th of July. Zach had his first rodeo. Zach got his first haircut. Kailey started her first year of soccer. Kailey also joined Girl Scouts for the first time. We had a lot of first this year. It was a very memorable year and we are so blessed. We also had some big moments in 2010.We had Kailey big 5th birthday party. Zach learned to crawl and walk. Kailey learned how to swim. We all went to our first 3-d movie together as a family and we did our first family Relay for Life. Mike started a new job and loves it and I started this blog and love being able to document my kiddos days. We did go on our first family mini vacation to the city. We got new carpet, that was a very good highlight of the year. This year has some not so fun times. I had a tumor removed, Mike got electrocuted, the kids have been sick with about every bug this year, from pink eye to ear infections to uti. Zach is suffering second time of being really sick this year, with a stomach virus and congestion. Ear infections has been our worst thing with the kids this year. Kailey has even had a few and she has never had any problems. Kailey had to have her kidneys looked at because she has had so many uti's but everything turned out good and she hasn't had one for awhile. Just say we will have a huge 2010-2011 tax deduction for medical bills.

I haven't decided if I am going to make any resolutions only to get some things done. First I am so excited that I am going to print my blog into a book. This is the last post that I am going to do for 2010 and then I am going to see how many months I can get into a book. I am finally going to get me a new camera. I want to get back into scrap booking, I am SO behind. I want to get back into the gym and I want my Scrapblock bus. to really work out and me be able to manage my time with the kids and doing my Scrapblocks and other crafts. I want try to get back to my organized self and get motivated to have a healthier, wealthier, and happier new year.
Happy New Year!!!
Love The Barnes

Christmas 2010

This Christmas was a very blessed Christmas. Uncle Doug and Noah came to town early so Uncle Darren took the kids out to Aunt Kami's parents house and rode the mules. The kids had a good time. They said that Zach didn't want to get off. The left Nana's at a decent time that evening to ride around and look at Christmas lights and cook Santa cookies.
Kailey and Mike decorated Santa's cookies. They didn't look to good because I need to cook them on a better cookie sheet. But they worked and they tasted good.

Looks like Santa made it to our house after all. Kailey was really concerned that he wouldn't come because her and her brother wasn't to good. She said that they fight to much. I have to agree but Santa came anyways.
Christmas morning with the kiddos. Even though they went to bed late, they were up at 7:30 a.m. wanting to open the gifts.
Kailey got her new Barbie Bike
Zach got his new fire truck.

Justin Bieber in the house. Kailey loved it. She wouldn't open it because she was embarrassed because she has a huge crush on him. But she finally opened him today and the Baby Baby song has been playing non stop.
"Secret Santa" got her an ipod touch. Just say she is very spoiled by this person. However I think Mike has been playing on it more than she has. He says he is downloading games for her but I don't think she knows how to play the football game that was downloaded.

Mike finally got his OSU fleece blanket. I finally made it for him. So I guess I am only person left that doesn't have one in the world. I have made so many of these for friends and family but never made me one. Hopefully I can get one made for myself soon.

After opening our present at our house we headed to my mom's house. Mike showing off Zach's Woody doll.Kailey's pillow pet that she thought Santa didn't get her. She was pretty worried and then she was upset when Noah opened his. But we found hers and she loved it.Zach and his new pillow pet.
Kailey's Video Barbie.
Zach had fun playing with Lilly and Roxy and the wrapping paper.

After we opened at Nana's we headed to Grandpa and Grandma's house all before 1:00. Grandma has been sick for about a week and we were hoping she was feeling better before Christmas but she wasn't but she couldn't cancel Christmas bless her heart. She stayed in her chair all day and tried to enjoy herself but she was a trooper and made it through the day. Zach and Dad reading a book before the gift opening started.

The Vassar Great Grand kids
Kailey final gift that she ask from Santa. Her nicu medical doll. She loves playing doctor.

Zach and Mason and their new rides.

Zach new hat. He had a good 2nd Christmas. He wasn't to interested in opening the gifts but he has been playing with all his trucks and riding toys. Kailey also had a good Christmas, she got everything she ask from Santa. We are so blessed to have such a great close family. I am so blessed to have a two wonderful kids that I couldn't imagine life without and a husband that I couldn't life without either.
Kailey said that Jesus had a great birthday and she hoped he had lots of cake and ice cream with all our friends and family that are in heaven with him. Happy Birthday Jesus!!

One worn out boy.

Christmas Festivities

Christmas break has officially started. Kailey ended her last week of school with her Christmas Program and Christmas Party. The program was very good. Kailey did such a good job this year. She sang and did all the actions with the songs. Last year she kind of set there and was frightened. She loves her music teacher and very good with all the 700 students that she teaches.
The tall one. I was always the tall one in the class and had to stand in back row. Zach loved watching Kailey sing. She was very excited that her grandma and Nana and Aunt Ash got to come and watch her.

Kailey's class Christmas Party was last Friday. She was excited that I signed up to help the class with the party.
Kailey and her friend Lori eating nachos.
Miss Cooper another good friend that Kailey always talks about.
Kailey wanted to make sure I took pictures of all her friends in her class so she would have pictures. The kids weren't shy either, they all wanted there picture taken.
The class played musical chairs. It was funny watching Pre-k students play, they really play by the rules because they would get upset if they lost so they just went around in a circle and no one lost because we never took at chair away.Sunday we our Christmas service. The kids actually took good pictures before church. Kailey had to have me make her dress. So I was up until midnight making it because I wanted to the last minute hoping Kailey would just pick one out at the store but she threw a fit and wanted me to make her dress. She really wanted me to make her a Mrs. Claus dress but I told her that I would us leopard print instead. She was okay with that.
My precious kiddos. They both have grown up so much this past year.

Kailey and Santa.
Zach wasn't to sure this time with Santa. But he never cried. Kailey told Santa the same thing she wanted a Justin Bieber doll, Barbie bike, pillow pet, and medical doll. I think Santa granted her wish. However, not sure we are going to survive Christmas break, the kids fought all day today and its only the first day of the break.

14 months

Zach visted Santa in the park. He did really well, I was a little scared that he would cry but he didn't. Kailey wasn't ever scared of Santa either. He has been a good boy this year, alittle onery but thats the boy in him.
Zach is 14 months and a couple days. Its been a busy last month. We finally got to go to his one year appointment that got canceled twice. He is 98% in height at 33 1/2 inches and 96% at a whooping 27 lbs. He has been on whole Braum's Milk for a couple of months. We tried different milk but Zach does better on Braum's milk. The other milk doesn't agree with his stomach. He is wearing size 6 shoes and still wearing 18-24 months. But some of his 18 month cloths are starting to be a little small. He has starting trying to take his diaper off if you don't put pants back on him.
Zach has his first cold and he has learned to blow his nose. Kailey had a the cold first and Zach and I are suffering now. This month Zach is playing more with his toys and playing in the playroom. He likes to go into Kailey's room while she is a school and close the door and turn the tv on and play. Its cute its like he knows that he not suppose to be in her room and he feels like he is getting away with something.
Zach didn't know what to think of the the first snow. He sat and watched the snow wanting to go outside but it didn't snow much so we stayed inside where it was warm. Santa is getting him a snow suit for Christmas so maybe we will get a good fun snow to play in.
Hello Nana.... Zach can say no, Nana, sissy, momma, da, wow, oh, Ash, Lily. I think that is it. I have been trying to have his say baba but he just points and makes a grunting noise. Will teething ever end? He has been teething since 4 months and still is teething. He has 8 lower teeth and 9 upper teeth last count. He likes to chew on wood. I guess he inherited it from his Dad. You should see his crib. Zach does so many things I wouldn't think he would do sometimes I think he might be a dog. He likes dog food, he gets in trash now that I have to put it on the counter, he rolls out the toilet paper, he gets into the toilet, loves playing in the water and making a huge mess, he chews on his toys and bits his sister. I guess the saying a dogs is a mans best friend is said for a reason. Zach loves making truck noise. It is amazing that you don't have to teach them and sounds they just do it. I try to make truck noises but Zach makes them better than me.
I finally got his one year picture taken. Hoping to have them before Christmas. He did a okay job. He won't set down, he wanted to venture around but they turned out really good. Good thing for fast cameras.

Our First Snow

Tuesday we had our first snow of the year. It wasn't much but the kids were very excited about it. Not to excited that I wouldn't let them go outside in play. They both have colds, Zach with a double ear infection again and Kailey with a bad cold that has caused her to missed 1 1/2 days of school. Kailey really wanted to go outside, she wanted to eat the snow. I really don't care that she eats the snow but I would rather her not. I had to lock the front door because she keep doing outside, but she out smarted me and snuck out the back door. Let it Snow
But it soon ended and just got enough to dust the yards. I got Zach a snow suit so hopefully we will be able to use it before he grows out of it. The snow as brought sickness to our house with colds and stomach bugs. I believe this is going to be a long winter as Kailey is already going crazy staying inside out of the cold. So the attitudes are flying and snot is running in this house. Oh how I love Winter.
