Mom Multitasking

Zach eating his prunes and taking a bath. Glad the prunes didn't kick in while in sink but they have helped Zach. He seems to get constipated eating veggies so I have to throw in some prunes every once in awhile. He likes them really well so that's helps. Zach wasn't the only one taking a bath, Kailey was also taking a bath. You think I can but this as a qualification on a resume as multitasking?

Playing at the Park

Today I took Zach and Kailey to the park. Zach took a short nap so I decided to get them out of the house since it was finally a pretty day without wind. This was Zach's first time to the park. He had fun put he wanted down and play and run around with his sister. Went to get a snow cone after the park and bound for home and finished planting my flowers.

Well Mike and I spent all day Sunday getting my flowers planted and his garden ready to plant next weekend. Well I waited awhile to plant my flowers because every year I usally plant them too early and then I get a frost and have to cover my plants. It was suppose to be safe to say that if you wait until April 15th that we wouldn't get another frost. Well sure enough as I wait we are suppose to be in the 30's tonight and it is suppose to have frost. GRRR. So I guess I will be covering all my plants. So my yard with probably be a sheet.

Mike is very excited about his garden. This is our first garden to plant. He did as a child and he has been talking about doing one for ever and finally this year he decide to do one, so we had to go buy a tiller and some seeds. He went ahead and planted his tomatoes plants last night in the dark even though I told him to wait until next weekend and we would finish it but he didn't so he will be covering his tomatoes tonight. So I guess I will get out some old sheets.

Big Sis

I think Kailey is finally getting over some jealousy over Zach. She is still alittle ruff with Zach but she is getting better. She has finally realize that bubba joe has to have a nap or he is cranky and cries alot. Kailey is starting to like to help me out with Zach much more with out me asking. Kailey loves her little brother and Zach adores her.

Teething Tuesday

Zach is on teething overload this week. He has had two teeth come in this week and one last week. He now has one top tooth and 4 bottoms. He has been alittle cranky but I don't blame him. So he is chewing on everything and has a running nose and slobber everywhere. He had some mac and cheese today and seemed to like it. Table food here we come.

Kailey had a dentist day at her school and they came and told them about brushing there teeth twice a day and got new tooth brushes. I have been trying to make Kailey brush her teeth but it is a fight most days, but since someone else told her that she needed to brush her teeth twice a day she is getting alittle better. However we got a letter back today and said that the dentist saw reason to have her come in for a check up. So I am going to look for a good dentist that is good with kids so Kailey's first appt isn't traumatizing. I am not looking forward to that appt.

Bath Time at the Barnes House

You think putting the kids into the bath together would get easy and bath time would go faster but it hasn't gotten that way yet. Kailey is a little ruff with Zach, so I usually have to take Zach out before Kailey tries to drowned him but Zach got to take a bath the other night by himself and he has discovered that he can splash so he likes that big boy bath.

Baby Clay's Baby Shower

Saturday we had a baby shower for Amber and Randy and Clay. I had to help with Relay for Life hot dog feed first before doing the shower, and Nana called and said Kailey was sick, having diarrhea and throwing up. She did that last Monday to so I don't know if she has a bug or what. She was fine to go to the shower so hopefully we will not have anymore.

I think the cake turned out really cute. Sweet Surprise did the that and it was yummy.The shower theme was jungle theme. Clay's nursery is also in jungle. I did the diaper cake. I got to use some the decorations from my shower because it was also done in jungle theme..

Annoying Allergies

This week has gone kind of fast but with Kailey suffer allergies I am glad its almost over. It rained today so hopefully that will help. I took Kailey and Zach to the doctor yesterday. Kailey for her allergies and Zach for his 6 month checkup. Kailey will probably need up having to have allergy shots, but we are suppose to try some other allergy medicine first. She is one Zyrtec and singular but now the doc say to try singular and clartin so we will see. She just has a morning and evening coughing attacks that is very annoying, so this will help. She weighed 48lbs and was 44 and quart inches tall. She had to get her finger poked to check her blood but she was a trooper and didn't cry. I didn't do a very good job this week taking pictures but hopefully we will get out next week and enjoy the weather if the allergy count is down.

She was wore out by the time we got home. This is really one time I can get a picture of her because she is always an the run, but I did get her to set still enough to get you some smooches for the weekend. Have a good weekend.

Update on the kiddos

Well Zach didn't stay in his crib long, well he did really good and stayed in his crib all night but I guess I can't do it and quite move him yet, so he is back in our room. I guess he will have to jump out of his car seat before I give up and finally move him for good. Zach has a third tooth coming in but hasn't made it all the way in so he has been kind of cranky.
Kailey has been sick this week with Allergies and has been coughing her head off. I guess I will have to get into a doctor and try to get her on something stronger. She has missed two days of school but I am hoping she will be back in school tomorrow. She has gone to bed and hasn't coughed so that is a good sign, but we will see. So hopefully I will have some new pics soon this week. The wind is blowing like crazy which isn't helping our allergy problem, we are suppose to get some rain this weekend so hopefully that will help clear the air.

Making a Move

Well tonight I thought I would try and let Zach sleep in his crib. He has been asleep for a couple of hours and hasn't woken up so maybe it will be a easier transition that I thought. But I will let ya know how the night goes, hopefully we because I have alot to do tomorrow to get ready for my sister in-laws baby shower for next weekend. Well good night all. Hope to post more blogs about Kailey I feel a little guilty just blogging about Zach lately so more blogs of Kailey to come.

Zachery Cole is 6 months

I can't believe Zach is 6 months old. These past 6 months have flown by so fast. It seems like last week we brought him home. My body still feels like it was last week. Someday I will lose my baby weight and hopefully plus some but isn't kind of hard to balance two kids and the house. I am so glad that the weather is warming up so we can head outside. I believe I have cabin fever and now we have allergy headaches so I am ready for some summer fun.

Zach is eating like crazy, he is eating cereal for breakfast and fruit for lunch and sometimes a veggie depends if he is still hungry after the fruit, and then he eats #2 foods for supper usually a veggie but for some reason veggies don't agree with his stomach, it makes him constipated so we have to have some fruits and some juice. He eats all the orange veggies and applesauce and pears, he isn't to fond of peaches anymore. He has 2 1/2 teeth. One hasn't came all the way in but you can see it. He loves wafer cookies and biscuits and Cheerios and puffs. He has had some ice cream with a daily trip to Dairy Queen to eat lunch with Nana and Grandma.

Zach is setting up. He started setting up about a week ago, he is really good a grabbing things and setting and playing with his toys. He wants to be more mobile but I am not ready for him to do that quiet yet.

He wakes up around 6:00 every morning with his dads alarm clock. He hasn't been taking a very good morning nap, usually sleeps around 45 minutes and then wakes up and we go and get sister and then we come back and have lunch and then he goes to sleep around 2:30 or 3:00 and sleeps until 5:00 and then we have supper and then he takes a cat nap around 7:00 and then he goes back to sleep around 9:30 or 10:00. I do have some guilt, he is still not in his crib as you can see by the picture, he sleep in the basset in his carseat, I know I am a terrible parent but he sleeps all night long so a parent has do what a parent has to do. However, I am not sure how I am going to break him of this and move him to his crib, I have tried laying him down in his crib and his wakes right back up or he sleeps for about 30 minutes and then wakes back up. But I know I will need to do something because one of this days he will be able to jump out so I will keep ya posted on his sleeping arrangement. He is such a good baby, but he does have temper. He has been teething this week so he hasn't been too happy. So I am hoping the tooth comes through soon. We go next week for his 6 months check up, I am curious to see how much he weighs. He is wearing some 6-9 month clothes but most of his new clothes are 12-18 months. He is such a big boy.

Easter Part 2

Well we went to Grandpa and Grandma Vassar's house. All the little cousins were there except Cody and Reina. They had so much fun, hunting eggs and playing in the dirt and playing with there Easter presents. The weather was soo nice, it is Kailey first Easter that has been nice and not snowing or raining outside. Zachery was napping so he missed out of the hunting of the eggs but he had fun playing with Mason

Easter Part 1

The Easter Bunny came to visit us today. Kailey got some flip flops and shorts and some candy and a sheep and sunglasses and some new ear rings, she was excited to be able to change her ear rings out. Zachery got a sheep rubber ducky and some new pjs and a sheep.

We colored Easter eggs last night at Nana's house with Noah. We only did a few eggs because it was late when we finally got to it so we got them done pretty fast.

We went to church and then off to Grandma and Grandpa's house to eat and hunt easter eggs.

Its Friday

It is finally Friday, Good Friday in fact. Kailey didn't have to go to school today. She has been counting down the days until Easter. I think Easter is one of my favorite holidays. No stress with this holiday just coloring Easter eggs and dressing in our church clothes. I have started on Kailey's Easter dress but I need to finish it today. I am making her a pillow case dress, I love making them, they are SO easy to make and they are so cute. I think I am going to make a couple more for this summer, Kailey loves to wear dresses. Today we are going to take professional Easter pics with James. Kailey loves smiling for James. It is a expensive smile but they are only small once. I hope to get Zach down for his nap early so he will be happy for the pictures. I am just a little frighted for the bunnies. Zach is grabbing everything in site so we will have to keep him distant from the bunnies. I am excited about the pictures, being Zach's 1st Easter and he setting up so good. Mike is finally off this weekend, he has had to work the last two weekends and I think and kids and I are both ready for a weekend with dad. We have plans to get allot done, it suppose to be a nice weekend so hopefully we will get our yard pickup and go to the park.

Mobile

Zach is mobile with the help of his sister. Kailey is super excited that bubba joe is becoming funnier to play with. I have think I am going to have my hands full.
