30 years young

Today was Mike's 30th Birthday. We didn't do much since his birthday is during fireworks season. We went out for lunch and ate Mexican food and then went back to Nana's house and ate cake and ice cream and opened presents. Mike's beautiful cake. It was kind of last minute preperation. Since we will all sick I wasn't able to make it down to the cake shop and order a special one so we had to settle for a Walmart cake, but it was good. It was finger lickin good.

Happy Birthday Mike. Your a great dad and husband. You might be older than me but you sure act like my third child sometimes. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Sick and Tired of being Sick

Well the stomach bug has made its way to our house. First Zach got it and then I got it and then Kailey and then finally Mike. Mike still is not feeling good, he came home early today from work sick and Kailey is still recovering. I feel much better, but still not 100%. Zach is better I think. He is teething to and started to have diarrhea again today so who knows but I hope we are all feeling better tomorrow. I am sure glad I am getting new carpet next week, Kailey is not a very good at making it to the bathroom or the trashcan. So I will be spending the rest of the weekend washing blankets and towels and floors and toilets and disinfecting everything. Oh the joys of motherhood.

Since we have all been sick we missed Baby Clay's arrival. He was born yesterday afternoon and weighed 8lbs and 4 oz and was 21 inches long. He had a ruff arrival, he swallowed alot of poo and is in the NICU for a couple of days. So hopefully he will all better soon and be able to see him. I will post pics soon. He looks just like Amber, he has here nose. He is a cutie.

Toy Story 3

Part 3 of our weekend. Mike and I and the kids went to the city and saw Toy Story 3 in 3d. It was our first 3d movie and Zach's first movie. It was a great movie. We went to the Warren Theater in Moore with Uncle Randy and Aunt Amber. Amber is due any day so we thought we will go spend some time with them before little Clay gets here.
It was Zach's first movie, but he did sleep through the whole movie. After the movie we went and ate with Randy and Amber. We had a good weekend. Sunday was Father's Day and Mike and the kids went swimming and hung out with dad.

Relay for Life

Part 2 of the weekend. Friday evening Kailey and I went to Relay for Life. Our team was the only team of survivors in the Woodward but also in Oklahoma. We have alot of survivors in our church, so since we were the only surviving team we got first pick on the tent space. The Fighters, The one in the middle that is the younger one is Ashley. She is the biggest fighter out there. I went to school with her and she has been fighting Melanoma for 6 yrs I think. She also has Lupus. She is very strong person and will win the fight.

This weekend was a fun and fast weekend. Friday Kailey finished up her swimming lessons, I told Kailey that Zach and I would swim with her after her last lesson. So I survived taking two kids to the pool by myself. Friday night we went to Relay for Life and then Saturday we went to see Aunt Amber and Uncle Randy and then today we had Father's Day, so more post to be posted, but first Kailey's swimming lesson.

It was Zach first time to swim in a public pool. I didn't get any pictures with in pool because I had my hands full. He loved the water, he kicked and splashed and I think he drunk half the pool water. He thought he could swim and didn't want me to hold him.

I really was proud of Kailey of finishing swimming lessons. She did a great job, she is growing up too fast.

Second Day.... Wasn't soo sure she liked swimming lessons, she cried and didn't want to go.

Third Day.... Kailey was getting a hang of it and enjoying swimming.

Four and Final Day.... She is floating by herself and bubba watching and cheering her on.

Wordless Wednesday.... He said Momma!!!!!

Hey DudeIt really can't be Wordless Wednesday because said a very important word today. MOMMA. Thats right Zach said momma. He has been saying Da Da but that doesn't count as daddy does it? I know I wanted him to say Momma first before daddy and he did, kind of. LOL.

Catch Up

The last couple of days, I have lost. I couldn't remember if today was Tuesday or Wednesday. However, it is now Wednesday morning. I stayed up to try and get catch up my name blocks that I am making.

Sunday we had church in the park. The weather was kind of chilly, a little cold front came through and it was kind of rainy, but we had a good turn out.

Good thing I had Kailey's sleeping bag in the vehicle because Kailey is always cold.

Kailey had her first swimming lessons at Boiling Springs. She has it for four days. She ask me, "mom how I am suppose to learn how to swim in four days", I'm thinking the same thing. I am sure this will be the first of many lessons. She was a little scared but she warmed up and she did a really good job. I will post pictures soon of her progress.

Monday I had to have a CT scan on my neck. I have had a lump on my right side of my throat for a while now. I am mentioned to my Doctor several times, but when I took Zach to the doctor last Friday I mentioned it to her again since I went to Urgent Care early the week before with strep and the PA said that I need to get it checked out. I was wondering if the lump could be a ball on infection that I can't get rid of or a swollen gland, but she no that she thought it was bigger which its not but what ever so she insisted that I get a CT scan asap, so Monday I went and had it done. I haven't heard from the doctor, I figure I will hear from her tomorrow since she doesn't work Monday or Tuesdays, so I will update you on what I find out. In the chaos of that I forgot to take Jaycee back to the vet to check her infection, so I will probably be in trouble with the vet but I think he will understand. So I will probably be making a trip to the vet by the end of the week.

All up to nothing

Well this weekend we have been up to nothing. Yesterday Kailey had Brooklyn over and they played in the swimming pool. The swimming pool has been a great investment, but we need to find a cover for it because it gets better dirty with with Oklahoma wind. So we are planning on cleaning it out tomorrow and find a cover for it, since we are suppose to get rain chances all next week. The girls played and then we went back to Mandi and Cody's house and had a cookout and let all the girls play. They are a handful but they have lots of fun with each other.

Notice Kailey is the only one not on the trampoline, she has decided she doesn't like it. I am glad I didn't invest in one.

Today we haven't done much, Zach is teething so he has been cranky and hasn't let me do much and so I started cleaning out my craft desk and the laundry room so I can get Zach's room decorated and ready for new floor and the laundryroom organized so I can move all my craft stuff in there, but I just seemed to make a mess and didn't get anything accomplished. So we came to my mom's house and hung out and Zach finally took a nap and I caught up on my computer stuff since my Internet is really slow at home. So now we are just waiting on dad to get off work. But anyways!!!

Wordless Wednesday

Zachery Cole ....8 months

Zachery is 8 months today. She is getting big and has the quite the personality and is a daddy's boy. Since Mike has gotten his new job and is home more often Zach can't get enough of his dad, which Mike just loves that. Zach is still eating around the same but has eaten alittle bit more solid foods, like Cheetos. He loves his Cheetos. I have started to give him alittle more milk, 8 oz instead of 6 oz. He has started to wake up in the middle of the night and want a bottle now, so hopefully giving alittle more milk at night he will not wake up. Since school has been out, I moved Zach to the pack in play. He has gone pretty good but he seems to like to have a lot of blankets around his face. I think it is a security thing and so he would rather sleep in his car set but we are taking baby steps to make it to the crib.

Milestones: He has started to roll from his butt to his stomach. He seems to try alittle more to try to crawl, and doesn't get as upset when his on his tummy. He is talking alot more, babbling alot, but Mike swears his has said daddy. His Nana Eckels taught him patty cake and he is pretty good at it. He still has 8 teeth. However his canine teeth are showing in the gums and he has been pretty cranky so I think they are coming in. He grew out of his car set and I got his a big boy set, he loves it. He can see out the car and be higher than his sister.

Summer Entertainment

Well since Kailey has been bored and doesn't have enough toys to play with and no friends to play with her age, I decided to buy a swimming pool for her so she could swim and hopefully it will keep her entertained for awhile. Mike got her pool up and here came the friends to and Kailey was happy. Just Kailey's size, the girls had fun so I guess that's what counts. Earlier last week I put Zach swimming pool together and Zach took his first swim in it, but he didn't like it much so Kailey played with it and Zach and I watched her jump into it. So hopefully Zach can try out Kailey's pool and he will like it better since it is bigger.
Mike also hung Zach new swing under our tree in our front yard. Zach loves it and it is soo shady. We are planning on buying a new swing set soon and but we just went ahead and put his swing up under the tree until we get the new swing set. But I am thinking we might just keep it under the tree, I like that Zach can swing while I work in the yard. So with the new toys hopefully the kids will enjoy their summer.

Irritated....I hate slow internet.

Well I haven't been able to blog on my laptop for awhile. I have another computer that has Internet hook up but I can't download my pictures because my connector is broken and my laptop is borrowing someone elses Internet and it is very slow and won't connect so I am IRRITATED. So I guess I am going to have to go legal and get router for my laptop.
We haven't be up to much lately, just sick. First Zach got double ear infection and then Kailey got double ear infection and then I got strep and then the Jayce our basset got sick with heat rash and then Holly our other basset got ear infection, so after surviving that we are all better now I hope. The only thing now is to get to my chiro tomorrow to get adjusted, I am alittle out of vack after feeling better I got a burst of energy and went to Enid for a quick trip to go to Hobby Lobby and then came home and cleaned house did laundry and mowed the lawn. Well that burst of energy got me down in the back and shoulder. So the summer hasn't started out so great.
Kailey is already bored and no friends to play with and is about to drive me crazy and Zach is trying to be mobile in anyway and is very frustrated that he can't do anywhere. He did roll from his butt to his stomach so he is making progress. However that only means that I had to get him out of his car seat and get him into the crib. :(. But we only made it to the pack in play so he has been it two nights and doing pretty good sleeping on his back but he rather sleep in his car set.
I am hoping to get my laptop up and going so I can post pictures again. I am having blog with draws so hopefully I can get going soon. So for now it is just a bunch a venting and no pictures.
