Wordless Wednesday.......Strep Rash...Yuck

It really isn't going to be a wordless Wednesday. I wish it was wordless. My kids are driving me crazy. Zach has been super cranky and hasn't been eating the last couple of days and been running a lower fever. I thought it was just his teeth until her broke out into a rash today. So When I picked up Kailey from school Kailey informed me that her throat hurt. She has been super cranky and not very nice the last couple of days. So we made a trip to Urgent Care. Kailey had a red throat but not to bad and she has fluid behind one ear and she had been running a low fever over the weekend. Zach's throat was not red that the doc could see, he is not in anyway a good patient. He hates doctors, he tried to bit her. His ear were infected so they both got put on antibiotics. So hopefully we can get all well for his birthday. I can remember this time last year. I had bronchitis and nine months pregnant and thought I was dying. So hopefully that will not reoccur again. I think I might need a "time out" when Mike gets home and go for a 28 minute time out.

Tidbit Tuesday

Today I got Zach's 1st birthday invitations ready to mail. I am so excited about how his invitations turned out. They are exactly what I wanted. I have been trying to get things ready for Zach's birthday party next week. I made this cupcake toppers to go along with his theme. Its is baby Sesame Street. We are going to have Elmo cupcake cake hopefully, that's my plan anyways and to make extra cupcakes. We are having a huge party at my mom's. We are having it at my mom's because we will have more room. I can't believe he is going to be one. We are trying to get his nursery finished, we finally painted it this past weekend and I would love to have his floor installed by his birthday but I am not sure that will happen. So I am still making things for his party and getting things ready. Its coming to soon.

The Wild Hair

Seeing how tall his mow hawk can get.

Zach is due for a haircut. I have given him one little trim to his hair when he was about 6 months. But I think it's time for a professional haircut. I keep putting it off because I'm not sure how he will act while getting his haircut and I don't want them to cut it to short. I am kind of clueless on fixing his hair. I don't know what to do with Zach's hair so it just kind of wild.

Go Strikettes!!!!

Kailey had her first soccer game this last Saturday. She had two games, the first one at 9:45 and the other at 12:00. Mike had to work so it was a little difficult to get two kids ready in the morning and make it on time. Kailey wasn't being very nice and didn't like anything I was doing for her. She didn't want to wear her hair up because she thought she look like a boy and she was being very dramatic so needless to say we almost missed the game. We will play every Saturday for the next month, not sure what I signed up for. It was a lot of work to get to the games and the kids were both so tired after the games. On a lighter note Kailey played really well. She never scored but she did try to kick the ball a couple of times. She is more of an observer than a player but it was her first so hopefully the team will get the hang of it. There was one star on the team that made all the goals. But when Kailey got a chance to kick the ball she was excited and it got her motivated so I think it is just going to take some time.
Half the team. They only have six girls on the team. They only play 3 at a time and there is no goalie or refs.

The girls getting a pep talk before they go out from the coach.

This was the girl on the other team that was the star and the girls as you can see just kind of watch her and let her go. However I told Kailey she needed to stop her and steal the ball away. She attempted but the girl is pretty good. It is kind of hard to teach them to steal the ball away since we teach them its not nice to steal but I told Kailey that is was okay in this sport.
This is the second game. They don't keep score either but the first game was kind of equal and both teams did really good. However the second game the girls were wore out and really didn't seem interested to play. At one time all the girls walked off the field and the coach was kind of clueless what to do. Got to love tired and hot little girls that are over dramatic.

Overall the girls did a really good job considering that they had only 3 practices. So I think the coach will have something to work with this week in practice on what the girls need to work on. I am hoping Kailey will not complain and want to go to practice and continuing liking soccer. She hasn't complained yet about not wanting to play after the game so that's a good sign.

My soccer star. I tried to video tap the 1st game because Mike couldn't make it because of work but it was kind of hard to take pictures and video and coach from the side lines. But I think I did a pretty good job as a first time Soccer Mom but its hard work.

Offical Soccer Mom... Going on two weeks

Kailey excited to go to her first practice.
Kailey's team. Just six girls. They only play three at a time. It should be interesting. Kailey was excited she knew most of the girls. They don't keep score or have no refs so it just really to have fun.
Monkey see monkey do. Kailey thought it would be fun to do a little tumbling in practice. One of Kailey's players is in tumbling and she was doing some moves and Kailey thought she would join in.
Kailey practicing her kicking skills. She is pretty good for not having kicking around a soccer ball ever before. She fell a couple of times trying to kick too hard. It should be interesting seeing playing her game since isn't the most coordinated person ever.Practicing at the NOSA fields and practicing making a goal.

Bubba looking on watching Sissy wanting to get out there himself and play.
Her first games are this Saturday. She is going to be raspberry pink and black and she is going to be #2. She is very excited about her first game. Hopefully it goes well. She is still not sure if soccer is for her. She has said a couple of times that she doesn't want to play but I think it is the other girls on the team that are influencing her mind. There is a couple of girls on the team that have a hard time wanting to play. But hopefully they all stick to it. I am glad I played soccer and made good memories. She is able to come and watch her.

11 months....alittle late

I haven't had good Internet connection so I couldn't blog this week but the the Internet people literally just walked out the door so I thought I would do catch up. I really need to be getting ready for my garage sell this weekend but it is hot hot outside so I am waiting for it to cool down before finishing things up.

Zach is 11 months this week. I can't believe next month he will be a year old. I have started planning for his birthday, but still not decided on what the theme it yet. There is so many options and it hard from planning 5 girl birthday parties to doing a boy party.
Milestones: He is walking along the furniture and walking alittle wobbling across the room. He is standing on his own for a couple of seconds. He is pointing at things and making a noise to let you know that what he wants. He is holding his index finger up telling everyone that he is going to be one. I haven't gotten a picture of that yet, because he does it best for his Nana Eckels. Getting pictures of him with is eyes open is a choir, I need a new camera. Hint..Hint. He is eating mostly big people food, like mac n cheese, spaghetti, ramon noodles, cottage cheese, jello and yogurt bread and carrots, corn and apples just to name a few. He likes feeding himself with no assistance. He is gabbling alot and yelling alot. He likes grawl when he wants something. He is barking like a dog when he hears the dogs barking outside. He is saying sissyquite a bit. He is size 18-24 months clothes. He is in size 5 shoe. He is still 23lbs. His hair has grown alot and we will probably have to have his first professional hair cut before his 1st birthday. He has been drinking more 8 oz bottles about two a day and the rest of the feedings I give him 6 oozes. He loves water, and really doesn't like juice so it just water and juice for him. He is still teething but no more teeth.

Daily routine: It has change a bit since school has started. He is going to sleep at 9 still and wakes up around 7:00. He sleeps all night. His nap time has changed. We get home from dropping Kailey off from school and he will have a bottle of 8 oz and then I try to feed him breakfast but he isn't really interested so I will give him a bath around 10:00 and feed him and then get him down for his nap around 11:00. Mike doesn't like it much because he is sleeping when he comes home for lunch but that's what is working right now. He sleeps until 2 sometimes and then he gets another 8 oz bottle and we leave to go pick Kailey up from school. If he gets a good nap he is pretty good in the evening until about 8 and then it time to get ready for bedtime.

His personality is really coming out. He is mostly happy all the time. He like to tackle his dad and sister. I still can't believe he will be 1 next month.

Look no hands!!!

Zach has attempted to stand in place for a couple of seconds before tumbling. Which he thinks is funny.

Zach practicing his walking

Zach standing by himself. It is only a couple of seconds so I had to have my camera in hand.
