Happy Halloween

My little pumpkins

Kailey helped me finish up the carmel apples. I love to make popcorn balls but this year I didn't to make carmel apples to. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays mainly because its fun to dress the kids up and its not so stressful as other holidays. This year I decided that I would hand out popcorn balls. I made over 100 of them, carmel ones, jello ones and regular ones. We were out by 7:00. We have a lot of trick or treaters on your street. So we turned out our light and went and did our rounds.
My beautiful Pinkalicious
The Cramer Crew

The hit of the night. Mike dressed up as Zach's daddy gorilla. He scared young and old. We had a ten year old run to his mom because Mike stole his candy. It was hilarious. We had one girl that was probably 14 and he scared her pretty good. I think we scared more adults than kids. Kids these days are not afraid of anything. Kailey loves staying at home and handing out candy. I know those days probably come to an end soon, so we had fun this year and got to see all the cool costumes. I think I am going have to come up with something else to hand out. The popcorn balls went so fast. But candy these days are so expensive.
The kids had so much fun this year. Kailey loves that her daddy dresses up with them. The weather was hot his year. So Mike and Zach were sweating it out. We started to let Zach be a rodeo clown in the beginning of the night but it cooled off so I put his gorilla suit back on. Happy Halloween.
I love the snap shot photos, I did it on piknic.

Going Bananas

This week has gone by so fast, every evening has been busy with something. We haven't even carved pumpkins yet which Kailey hasn't mentioned it so we might just paint them. We had some lovely kids smashing pumpkins on our road, they haven't hit our house yet but I am sure they will make there way to our house if the dogs don't scare them away. Hopefully we will get to carve them tonight after going to a friend birthday party. They are going to do Halloween tomorrow so we have Kailey's last soccer game and then Trick or Treating downtown and then make our rounds to family and friends. Mike is working tomorrow so hopefully he will get off a decent time and be able to enjoy the kiddos. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I excited for the fun full weekend.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween

Fall Break Rewind

Well after trying to download for several days, I gave up and these are all the pictures I could get downloaded. I am not sure what is wrong. This last week we had Fall Break. We had a full weekend. Mike wanted to start the installation of our laminate flooring in Zach's room 1st. So he started Friday evening and finally finished Sunday evening, so the kids and I tried to stay away all weekend so Mike would be able to get it finished. This was Mike's first time to do laminate and he did a pretty good job. First Saturday afternoon Kailey went to the Girl Scouts Birthday party a the skating ring. She had a blast with all her new friends.
We Also went to Rally Around the Kids at the Fair Grounds after going skating.. They got all dressed up in their Halloween costumes and went around and got all kinds of goodies. Kailey as Pinkalicious and Zach as a gorilla.
Kailey being a big sister and helping Zach around.
Zach and Kailey toured the firetruck with Uncle D. Getting a good picture of the kiddo on the the truck.
Before Pic.
The reason we were left the house most of the weekend. Mike wanted to start installing laminate in the bedrooms. Zach's room was number one.

After the house being in a wreck all weekend. Mike finally finished Zach's room. Mike did a really good job.

After Picture

No Picture (Its was here)grrr
Zach really likes his floor he likes that they make noise and he can slide on them. I am really looking forward to having all the rooms finished, but Mike informed me that he probably will have to have more than a weekend to finish our room because of the master bath. So hopefully we will have them all finished by next summer. Well maybe I will post the after pic soon if I can figure out what is going on with my blog.

Year One.... Part Two

This year with Zach has flow by.... Days have gone by since I posted his first birthday, I can't seem to get back on track since my surgery. But I got my stitches out Wednesday and starting healing so hopefully I can get back on track.

Zach is a whopping 25 lbs. He is in 12-18 months clothes. He is wearing a size 5 shoe. He has 8 teeth that are all the way in and 4 more that has broke skin. He has been on cows milk for about 3 weeks. He loves drinking milk. He has probably has two many bottles during the day but he has been teething so he hasn't been eating very well so I am going to try and break down the feeding that he is getting. He really doesn't like juice but he loves water so he gets water through out the day. He likes his sippy cups and can suck out of a straw so it shouldn't be a problem breaking him from it, I think I will be the problem because I am in no hurry to break him. He really eats anything. He loves carrots, peas, and Grandma's pickles and party mix, Ramon noodles and still some baby food but mainly he eats what we eat. He likes to try and use his silver wear but hasn't mastered it yet but he will soon because he doesn't like to be feed, he likes to feed himself. His schedule has really stayed the same since he was born. He sleeps all through the night and goes to sleep so easily. He is a very happy and good baby; however, he does have a temper and lets you know when he isn't happy. He seems to be left handed and loves to through anything. He is walking really good and now is standing up by himself. He loves to wrestling with anyone. He is a tough boy and all boy. He loves showing his muscles and grawls at you. He also thinks he is dog some days. He loves to get Lily's dog food and gets in the trash and will get in the toilet if you don't watch him and likes digging in my plants. He says Nana, Momma, Dadda, Sissy and tells you no, no. He is the second child so I have notice he doesn't really say more than that, so I sure we will be trying to work with him to say more instead of talking for him. He plays patty cake and play pick a boo. He loves watching Sesame Street and Dora and Handy Mandy. He has starting to like riding toys and and pushing his trucks and tractors however he really just follows Kailey around and plays with her until one of them gets hurts. He has become very clingy and doesn't like me giving anyone else attention but him. He stayed with Nana Eckels for a couple of nights while I had my surgery and has wrapped his Nana around his finger. People have told me that I am going to have my hands full with him and I think I agree he is a little stinker.

I love having a boy and can't wait for the all the boy activities that he will be in. We have already decided if he is going to be left handed we are going to practice with him being a switch hitter so he can be our retirement. Wishful thinking, He has such a bubbley personality I sure our life will be very blessed with our Zachie Poo.

Take me out to the ball game.

The tumor is gone. The 1 cm tumor ended up being a size of a baseball. The tumor was growing behind my jaw and had spread to another gland. So they removed my submandibular and sublingual glands. I guess I don't need them after all. I didn't know I had so much room in my mouth after a softball was removed but it does feels different. I didn't have any facial paralyses that I can feel. I am having some issues of swallowing and sucking but I think that will go away as soon as the swelling goes down. I go back to the doctor Wednesday to get the biopsy report. The doctor was pretty confident that it's not cancer but they still sent off the the tumor to be tested. I am ready to back to normal. The surgery went alittle longer than it was suppose to. It was only suppose to take a hour and a half and ended up taking three hours. The anesthesia was the hardest part. I got very sick and nauseated and had problems coming out.

Pleomorphic Adenoma Tumor

Well tomorrow I will going to the city and having surgery to remove a tumor that is in my gland. We had a biopsy on it and it came back benign however they recommend that I have it removed because the tumor will continue to grow and will increase the chances of it becoming cancer and it will be harder to remove if it gets bigger. I will go into surgery at noon and will be observed for 23 hours and be able to come home. Thanks to my mom the kids are taking care of. Hopefully the recovery will go good. The hardest part I think is not lifting anything for two weeks. I have recovered from my c-sections very well so I am hoping that I will recover quickly.
Before pic. I am not really looking for the scar that I will have from the surgery. But hopefully you won't be able to see it. The scar from my c-section is already gone. But you would think they could be nice and take some fat out too for a scar.

Lets Celebrate!!!....100th Post and Zach's 1st birthday Party Part One

Zach eating some super.

Logan, Kailey and Conner.
Zach setting with his overload of presents.
Zach wasn't to excited about his gift. He wasn't opening them fast enough so Kailey thought she would help but she was opening them to fast and we couldn't see who they were from so we had a little breakdown and finally got all of his presents open with out any injuries.
Logan and Conner also helped open presents.

The Elmo cupcake cake. I was very impressed on how it turned out and it was so much easier to serve, you just grabbed the cupcake and your done. Zach's mini cake. It was very cute. Walmart did a good job.
Zach had to have alittle help with his candle. He was more interested in digging into the cake.
Zach slowly making a move into the cakeOff with Elmo and the mess began
Zach thought it was pretty funny to demolish the cake.
Zach getting clean.
With all the chaos I forgot to put Zach's party hat on that I made him. We had a house full, we are going to have to get Nana a bigger house for all the parties and grand kids. Zach had a great party and I think he got every toy in Walmart. Santa will definitely be being Zach a toy box for Christmas. I am going to post another post of Zach's birthday. I am running alittle behind, I am trying to get things done before I have surgery Thursday to remove a tumor in my throat.

Zachery turned one

Today a year ago at 10:55 a.m. Zachery Cole Barnes entered the world. He has been such a blessing to our family. I was hesitant on having a boy but I would trade him for anything. He has been such a happy baby. He always has a smile on his face. Tonight we had a little celebration for his birthday before his big birthday party tomorrow.

Kailey wrapping his presents. She did a good job considering she is only 5 and she has no patience and she couldn't figure out to do the tape.

Kailey's attempt to show Zach how to open presents. She was not being very nice about it, she said that he wasn't old enough to open his own presents so she opened them for him. We are still working on the jealousy issue.

Zach checking out his vehicle frig toy. We have the animal one and he loves it so I thought he would like the vehicle one. Kailey informed me that they had the letter one at school and she wanted it. I really don't think my frig is big enough for another toy.

Zach blowing out his candle. He did a really good job. We have been practicing blowing out my candle in the kitchen so he was ready for it.

A little sugar high, we did cupcakes tonight because he has a cake for tomorrow.

His second wind after the sugar high didn't last long. He was out by the time we got home. Hopefully he will sleep well tonight and take a good nap tomorrow to be ready for his big party.

Zach's birthday puppy and balloon that Nana Eckels got him. Happy 1st Birthday Zachery Cole. Mommy loves you.

*More Birthday Post Tomorrow......100th Post will be tomorrow. I can't believe I will have posted 100 times. I think its because I am alittle addicted to it. LOL. But it is a good addiction, I'm documenting memories.

Mooo.....We are on cows milk.

Zach has been on cows milk for a week now. It was a little bit of a problem at the beginning but he is loving it now. Similac had a recall, which put me in a panic because I didn't know what to do with Zach. He had problems with formula at the beginning because it constipated him so it took me awhile to find a formula for him that work which was Similac Sensitive. So when the recall came out I was mad because I didn't know what to do now, and formula isn't cheap and I didn't what to think of trying him on many different ones to make him happy. However I got a free sample in the mail for go n grow from a different brand so I tried it and it made him have diarrhea so I called his doctor and ask what I should do and they wanted me to put him on pedia light until the diarrhea cleared up and then try him on a different formula, well I didn't listen and I just took him to cows milk because he was close enough to one that I thought it would be fine plus its alot cheaper. So we tried half cows milk half formula and he kind of liked it but then I tried just cows milk and he wouldn't drink it so I finished out the formula that I had bought and then I went to Braums milk and he loves it. So he is a happy baby finally and so am I.

Can't believe he is going to be one tomorrow. I am sure I am going to be an emotional mess, I really don't know why. Time has just flown by way to fast. I love that he carries his bottle around. Kailey would never do that. He also will lay on the floor and take a bottle and will hold his own bottle going down the road, little things that make me love him even more.

Tidbit Tuesday.... Fall=Sickness

As the cooler weather came so did the sickness. Kailey has been sick for week. She started out with a low fever last weekend after soccer game and then she was better Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and then we took Zach to urgent care and then Kailey said that her throat hurt so the doc saw her to and she had an ear infection and some drainage so she got put on antibiotic and was fine Thursday morning and went to school and to soccer practice and then Friday morning she woke up with a fever and then she has ran a high fever ever since then. So Monday I took her back to the doc because her antibiotic was for 5 days and she was done with it and was worse than better. So we went to the doctor and her ear infection had gotten worse and so she got put on a new antibiotic. Yesterday she ran a fever in the morning but it never came back. She has been better today other than her nagging cough that is coming back because she is starting to breakup some congestion. So I think she will finally return back to school tomorrow hopefully.

Thursday we go back to for a check up for her breathing treatments that she is has been taking to help with her cough. It worked in the beginning but now the cough is back. She has had this cough since she was 2 and it comes around August and doesn't leave until April. The doctor thinks she has asthma and so she might have to go on an inhaler but we will see. I don't really care what they find to put her on I just want the cough to go away.
