What a way to start off summer

Well the day after Kailey got out of school I can down with strep and Kailey got double ear infection. So now I had two kids sick with double ear infection and me down with strep. Thankfully my mom came to the rescue and helped me out with the kids. It should be a rule that moms shouldn't be sick the same time kids are sick. But I made it through it and finally feel better today.
Over Memorial weekend we had our yearly Ball Reunion with my grandma Vassar's side of the family. We had it out a Boiling Springs this year. We ate lunch and then went on our way. I didn't get any pictures because I wasn't feeling very good and it was hot so maybe next year. Ashley came down Saturday so Kailey was Nana bound all weekend. Today I was finally feeling better and made a quick trip to Enid to Hobby Lobby to get some things to make some name blocks. I went by myself, the first time I have gone by myself, it was kind of nice to get away but I was glad to get back to the kids and Mike. Mike stayed home with Zach and did some honey do's around the house but didn't get much done with Zach being here, he is still cranky with his ears and his teeth and is very spoiled. I am kind of sad because Zach rolled from his butt to his belly today for the first time and I missed it but he has been doing it all day so he has been showing off his new skill. Tonight we went to the park and ate hot dogs with Nana, Ash, and Darren. It was fun hopefully we can start doing more of that since the weather is warming up. I did take some pics tonight and got Zach eating his first piece of watermelon, he loves it.

Zach is a cup boy so hopefully it will be a nice transition from bottle to cup.

Let Summer Begin

Kailey successfully finished her first year of pre-k. She had to go two days this week. She had water day yesterday and they played water games. I went and helped out the class. Today they had field day. She was soaked when she came out so she must of had fun. She said she was kind of going to miss her teacher, but she had a good last day. Her last progress report she has mastered all her math stills and she has improved from the beginning of the first of the year with her classroom rule, like following direction and keeping her hands to herself. She has grown alot since the first of the year. At first I wasn't sure she was going to make it through the year with every morning waking up crying and not wanting to go to school but we made it through it. She hasn't mastered writing her name but she is close, she knows all her abc's and can count pretty high. Her progress report looked pretty good, however we have decided that she is going to repeat pre-k next year, because of her age. Since she won't be 5 until August. They are going to be in a new building and it is going to be all day pre-k so I think that she will be better repeating with all the new changes. Kailey's favorite toy to play on the play ground.

Meow, the girls in the class wanted to paint there faces like cats.

Kailey's best friends, Kristina, Zander (best of friends, worst of enemies) that's what the teacher said, they are some sassy girls with attitudes. Something else learned in pre-k.
I'm so proud of Kailey of making it through her first year of pre-k. She is growing up so fast. :(

Is it summer break yet?

There is 5 more days of school left. I'm not sure if Kailey is ready for school be out or not. She is already bored after school with no one to play with. I am in some ways ready for school to be out. I am ready for the nicer days and swimming with the kids. We are on a pretty good schedule with the kids and I am not looking forward to the change in the schedules. So hopefully I can stay with the schedule some what. Today the kids did not want to get up this morning. We were at my mom 's house last night until 10:00p.m. cleaning out her garage for a garage sell next weekend so they were dragging this morning. So tonight Zach turned in early hopefully he will stay asleep all night and Kailey would of made it to bed early but Zach was being a handful and Mike was working late tonight so I didn't have any help.

Lunch Date

Mike started his new job today at Diamond and he finally gets to come home to eat lunch with the kids. Since he had a job in Shattuck he never go to come home for lunch. The kids were very excited to see him. Zach was a little surprised to see him so early in the day, I think he was kind of confused. Kailey is very excited about Mike's new job. Mike's first day went good he said he finally got to take two breaks through out the day the first time he has gotten to go that in two years, he said that the job is so much more laid back and they aren't in a rush to get trucks out. So I am happy that he is happy and the kids are to, and they are happy they will be able to spend more time with their dad.
Tonight we went to the carnival. Kailey had a really good time. I will post pics tomorrow. I am wore out and going to bed. Night all.

Growing like a weed

Zach turned 7 months Saturday the 8th.
Schedule....Still on the same schedule, he wakes up around 6:30 a.m. and then takes about a hour and half nap around 9:00 a.m. and then we wake up and go get sister and then he eat lunch around 11:00 and then we go to the dq and he snacks there and then he comes back and goes to sleep around 2:30 and sleeps to around 5:30 and then wakes up and we go tan then we have super around 6:30 and then takes a cat nap around 7:00 and then finally ends the day around 9:30 and sleeps ALL night still.
Eating.... Zach is on #2 foods, however he is getting a little picky on what he likes. He likes pears, apples, squash and sweet potatoes. But some days he doesn't like much, so I decided to change his brand of food and now he likes eating baby food again. He loves cheetos and wagon wheel puffs. He likes to growl when he wants something. He still is drinking 6 oz around 5 bottles a day
and some juice in between.
Milestones... Zach has discovered his hands, and moves them around and watches them. He is pretty good on picking up his food and putting it to his mouth. He still has no interest in tummy time. He hasn't rolled over yet. He would rather set and and stand up beside me. So I am working on tummy time with him alittle bit more so we can get going on crawling. If he is anything like Kailey it took Kailey awhile to crawl b/c she didn't have patience and she crawled for a week or two and then went to walking. He has eight teeth, four on bottom and four on top. He has started giving kisses. He will give kisses when he want what you have. He is still in his car seat sleeping, moving to the crib hasn't been easy but I haven't given 100% yet, I am planning to get with it when Kailey gets out of school, b/c he cries and wakes up his sister and then I have two kids that won't go back to sleep so hopefully we will be in the crib soon.

Zach is getting his own personality. He has started to turn his head away when he doesn't what something. He is very happy baby. He has been teething pretty much since 4 months, so hopefully we will be almost finished by the time the warmer weather gets here. He loves his bath time. I can't wait to go swimming this summer with the kids. He getting alittle bigger so Kailey has been having fun playing with him and doing more things with him. She likes to pull him in his wagon around the yard. I am hoping to find a double stroller to go walking with them and Mike should be getting off sooner in the evening with his new job and I am hoping to start doing more outside things with kids like bike riding and walks.

This is his first Easter picture and 6 month old picture.

Mother's Day Weekend

Well this weekend was an eventful weekend. First we went to Enid on Saturday to go shopping. Kailey and Zach and Mom and I went and had a good time. It was a quick trip so we could get back for Aunt Ash's 21st birthday. We went out to eat with the family and ate Mexican food and then we went back to mom's to eat cake and ice cream.
Sunday we had lunch at grandma's house to celebrate Mothers Day. It was very cold outside so we didn't do much outside but it was a good mothers day anyways. Thanks to mom and grandma for being such good moms. They have helped me out so much with Zach and Kailey.

Yummy, he couldn't wait until his first b-day to dig into the cake.

Zach loving the cake

Zach couldn't wait to get into the cake.

Teething Tuesday

Zach is still teething. Getting two more teeth on top. So know he has EIGHT teeth. The four top ones are coming throw but still not all the way, so he is very cranky. However, since he has eight teeth now he thinks that he doesn't need baby food he wants big boy food. So I have been going a little crazy trying to have him eat his baby food, he refuses to open his month. He is only wanting to eat things that he can pick up and eat. I am not sure if it just a phase or he really doesn't like his baby food anymore. I am hoping its a phase because I have a cabinet full of baby food.

Um this isn't big boy food, I am not eating it.

Yep, that's what I think about that.

Mom just leave me alone, I just want to chew on my spoon. He isn't drugged even though he looks like he is. Teething isn't fun. :(

Spring Cleaning

This weekend we finally attempted the storage shed and cleaned it out. It looks so much better now. We threw a pickup load away, so now I can load the storage shed back up with the spring cleaning in the house. I plan on having a garage sell soon.

Can you see me? Zach is hiding
Kailey giving Zach a tour of her dad's garden.

Hang on!!! Sister is kind of wild.
