Easter 2011...Part One

Aunt Ashley and Kailey and I attempted to do a new way of doing eggs. It was a last minute pick up from Walgreens. It was a pearl egg attempt look. We had to put the eggs in plastic bags and then put dye in the bag and rub the egg. It was 11:00 p.m. the night before Easter doing eggs. We went to Enid shopping and didn't get back as soon as we planned.

We boiled the eggs the day before and so they were cold and the box said that they needed to be warm so I am not sure if that's why they didn't look like the eggs on the box.

We had Zach attempt to do an egg, but he wasn't to interested.

He wanted to try and eat the egg, so I peeled one but then he didn't want it. Kailey tried to tell him if he ate it she would take a bit but they just ended up making a mess of it.

The Pearl Eggs. After several attempt and mixing colors they turned out pretty good, but not like the ones on the box.

The Easter bunny brought them sand box toys and some clothes and Kailey got the Tangled movie and Justin Bieber magazine.

Three Crazy Crafters

This past weekend I entered in my first craft show with two of my friends. Terri and Mandi. I think we kicked ourselves not giving us enough time to get ready for it. We had over a month but we were still working on stuff the night before. I didn't sleep much last week. Hint the crazy crafters. I am still trying to recover. I did my Scrapblocks, and Banners, and Bows and some flip flops, and cupcake toppers and some Goody Buckets and hats. Terri did blankets, bags and hats and fabric bows. Mandi did her Mama M's Salsa. We had a booth full.

Mike made me some shelves for my blocks, they turned out really good. Haven't painted  them yet, trying to decide if I am or not.

All the flip flops

The Goody Buckets

The blocks.

I think our booth looked pretty good considering our space that we had. I was very small. It was the Mooreland High System that was putting it on and it was being ran by a bunch of high schoolers so you can imagine how that turned out. This was the 25th year for the school to put on a craft show but they were alittle disappointed in the attendance. We were to, but it was our first craft show so we weren't expecting much. We live and learn. But I did pretty good, got several orders and sold alittle. We are ready for our next craft show. But I think we have decided to go alittle bigger. Good thing we still have stuff left so we won't have to work our butts off for the next one. I just want to make a couple new things for the next one. We are going to try and do one craft show a month.

On to our next craft show. I think we might try and do Wichita but not sure. I need to get some e-mails out and get some more information on it.

18 months

Zachery Cole was 18 months on Friday. He is slowing lossing his baby features. He got his first summer hair do and it makes him look some much older.

He is growing so fast. I did some clothes shopping for summer clothes and I had to buy 2t for him and he went up a 1/2 a shoes size. He is still in size 5 diapers though. He is getting his two year molers. He is wanting to brush his teeth along with mom. I had to buy him a big boy tooth brush so he would stop stealing Kailey's. He is eating to good, so I guess his growth sput is over for know. With the weather warming up I can't keep him inside. He loves to play outside. We have to stay in the backyard because if he goes in the front he runs and is gone. He loves to run, he runs everywhere. I am going to have to start calling him Gump.
We went to Elmo again. His second time to go. This year he was alittle more active. He was entertained for a about 45 minutes and then he want to go.
He is talking much more. Saying all kinds of words. He newest words are ready set goooo. He said Kailey for the first time last week. One week this last month he was terriable and was saying no and ouch really mean but thank goodness that didn't last long. He has been very loving and has started to crying when someon-+e leaves the house. He has started wanting to set on my lap and read him books. He is still sleeping as usually thank goodness. He nap somedays aren't  as long but he is still pretty easy to get down for a nap and bedtime. He is still on the bottle but probably be trying to take it away. He has been pouring it out in his crib and everywhere on his floor. So I am looking for a good sippy cup that doesn't have a tons of parts to clean.
He loves his tractors and cars. I think he has almost all of his trucks outside. He likes to push this around. We have a tractor at Nana Eckels's house and he flips out every time we go over there and wants to get out the tractor. So I am thinking about getting him his own big boy ride on tractor. I wanted to get it for his second birthday but if we might have to get him a early birthday gift.

Game Day

This last Saturday Kailey had her first soccer game of the Spring Season. They won their first game but not sure if they won their last. They don't keep score but the second game the other team was pretty good so it was a good game. The girls  played really good. No breakdowns or crying off the field with any of the girls. That in itself was good. Next weekend the games are alittle earlier so hopefully we can make it thru it. I really had to bribe Kailey to do a good job and she did and she got to go to McDonalds and play.

Kailey kicking the ball in. I think the only time she touched the ball. She likes to follow everyone and just watch everyone else play, she needs to use her attitude and aggression on the field that she uses at home. She did really good a practice getting in there and kicking the ball so hopefully she will get the hang of it and make a goal this year.
