Week 4 of Summer Break

I'm alittle late  posting week 4. Week 5 is almost already over. Over week 4 we went on a little vacation to the city. It was nice to have Mike for four whole days and kids ate it up. First we started our vacation to Clay's 1st Birthday. He loved his first taste of chocolate cake.

After Clay's birthday the kids took a quick dip in the motel swimming pool before we headed to Cars 2 Movie in bricktown. The movie wasn't much of a success. Zach didn't have a nap and set about 15 minutes and then through a fit and so Mike and Zach went and walked around Bricktown while Kailey and I finished the show. I don't think I liked it as much as the 1st one.

Sunday we headed out to the OKC Zoo. It was only 108 degrees outside. It was hot so we started the trip with the tram and took a trip around the zoo. The kids really enjoyed the ride. Alot of the animals were hiding in the shade, I don't blame them.

The kids enjoyed the Kid Zoo. Where they got to pet goats and play in the water.

The monkeys were our favorite. They are soo funny.

 Wow, Zach loved the carousel.
After the rides we headed to the Sea Lion show. It was really good. Kailey was really impressed with the Sea Lions. Zach didn't care really he was tired by then and needed a nap. So after Sea Lions we went and cooled down in the water.

Zach calmed down and cooled off so we decided that we would get to the lions, monkeys and elephants before had another breakdown.

Mommy the lion is coming to get us. It was too funny, Kailey thought the Lion was going to get her.

He just wanted to lay beside them.

The newest elephant born in March. It was soo cute.

Our little vacation was fun. We headed back home after zoo, it was a long ride home with two kids fighting and tired. Either one feel asleep. But it was good to get out of town for a couple days. But unfortunately it was back the real world. Kailey had a ballgame. Mike had another day off so he was able to go. He took his birthday off. So after the game we went out to eat and had a little birthday party for him.

Happy 31st Birthday!!! It was great to have four days of a husband and a daddy.

Week 3

Week three went by too quickly. The the summer days have been going to fast for that it doesn't seem there is enough hours in the day to get everything I need to get done. This last weekend I had a Arts Festival in Arnett. It went pretty well. I also had my first order for the boutique in town. What was I thinking. This is the Korky bow process. Cooking the ribbon to make them curl and then I had to cut the ribbon and finally make them into bows and flip flops. After a week of hard work. I had 20 different bows and 4 pair of flip flops. With boutique orders and the up coming craft show in July I'm beyond busy.

A quick picture of the finished product. I took pictures of all the bows so I can remember what they look like so when I have another order.

New Korky Hats, I just made one to see if she would like them and she loved them so I have another order to do plus more flip flops.

Besides me being super busy this week 3 of summer there hasn't been much more excitement except Zach not keeping his diaper on. He is taking interest in peeing in the potty but he thinks it is funny so I don't think he is to interested in the serious business of getting started. Its a little too early for me to so we will see.

Summer Break - Week 2 & Milestones

We started out the week with swimming lessons. Kailey's second year. She did pretty good for the first two days, but the last two I had to force into the water. She doesn't like jumping off the side or going under water. She is still kind of scared of swimming my herself.
Kailey with Erin her instructor this year.
Zach was dressed and waiting for his turn but once he got into the water with Erin he had nothing to do with it. So no swimming lessons for him this summer maybe next year.

Kailey doggy paddling
Kailey floating on her back. She had a successful lesson in swimming lesson. Was proud of her of finishing another summer of swimming lessons.
Sunday we had another family reunion. Barnes Family reunion. I didn't get many pictures because my batteries where almost dead on my camera, so I will post more pictures when Nana Barnes post them on Facebook. We had lunch and then we headed to the water park with the Barnes cousins.
Kailey posing.

Kailey and Zach loving there second trip to the water park for the summer.
Kailey had two ball games this week. It was HOT.

Kailey batting. She is getting pretty good. I think she enjoyed the games for this week.

Getting high five from the coach.
Kailey also started Library Time on Tuesday, she was excited to go but I think she needs to move up an age group. All the kids in her class where crying. Since her birthday is in August it puts her in a younger group. Will see how it goes.
Zach also had a active week. He is 20 months old. We had his 18 month check up and he weighted in at 31.8 lbs and was 34 inches tall. He was 98% in height and 96 % in weight. He is a growing baby. He is soo healthy, so blessed to have a happy, healthy baby.
He loves his water, playing in the water every chance he can get. He is going wild this summer, running everywhere. I can't keep up with him. He has escaped the fence twice this week. So he can't go outside without Kailey until we can figure out a way to keep him in.

Wishing his sand box was a swimming pool. Haven't decided if we are going to put pool up this summer. He is such a handful, I don't know if I can handle him and a pool and 3 dogs in the backyard.

Zach is learning so much. He is a pro at soccer and now he is taking up t-ball. He is pretty good at it to. He loves anything to do outside. Kailey and Zach are totally different. Kailey could stay inside all day and never get dressed and be fine, not Zach he is up at the crack of dawn every morning ready to go. Thought letting him go to bed a hour later would help the early bird but he is still up. He is getting his two year molars so he has had some cranky nights. Hoping they come in soon. He isn't eating very good either, guess he not growing thank goodness. He is saying some new words, he says Kailey alittle better, he says I want outside, shoes, I wanta swing. Ma for Nanna, he says Poppa. pee pee, ba-ba. I can't think of anymore. He is not taking naps as well as he used. He is wanting me to rock him for some reason. Finally got Kailey to go asleep on her own and now Zach has turned on me and wants me to rock him. I guess he missing our alone time during the day since school is out and Kailey is home he isn't getting all the attention.

I have been busy. Note the late post. I am trying to keep up with the house and kids and t-ball and everything else summer brings and now I am so excited Scrapblocks, Crafts N Scraps & More has expanded to Michelle Chic Boutique in Woodward. She is having me supply her with bows, blocks and flip flops. So I have been busy tyring to keep up. I also going to the Arnett Art Festival this weekend. So heres to another week of summer recorded.

Justin Bieber, Never Say Never

I can't stop smiling, he is so cute, he was such a cute baby, why do they have to put that on the movie it embarrassed me, he is left handed just like me, i have this song ,he has a lot of fans, he has the same guitar as me, I think I need guitar and piano class, his favorite color is purple, that my new favorite color, I can't believe he is singing to me, I really want to marry him, oh man I really like that show.
Kailey's words through out the movie. She definitely has Bieber Fever she has smiled through out the movie.
I can say I the movie was very good, a good inspiration to Never Say Never. Kailey has always had musical talent. She says she wants to be a music writer, she is quite good at it. Only if she could write.lol. We are wanting  to  start piano in August she is very excited to start learning the piano.

Summer Break - Week One

Well the first week of summer was busy. I figured I would try to blog once a week about the current week and maybe I would be able to keep up. I'm going to try it out. So first week was Memorial weekend and we started the weekend off going to the Eckels pond to fish then we had family reunion for my grandma's side. The Ball reunion, we took the kids to the waterpark. There first time this summer. This week was Kailey's first T-ball game. This week has been kind of laid back after the long weekend and we have just been hanging out at the house.

My babies and there first fishing trip together at the Eckels' pond.
The Eckels Bunch.

Mike teaching the kids some fishing tips.

Zach's first time to fish.
Uncle D and his big catch
Uncle D and Kami said they caught 10 fish while on the boat. They were really biting.

Ash and her big catch. Taking a cheesy picture to prove to Justin she can fish.
Father- Daughter time on the farm.
Aunt Vert our cook of the Eckels Family was getting the hot dogs ready
Dad and his big catch. Showing Zach but he had nothing to do with it. The fish scared him.

Kailey and Ash got to go out on the boat.
And Zach didn't, he wasn't too happy about that.
Zach having a man to little man talk with dad.
The Eckels Pond was a fishing day success. Everyone caught a fish. We didn't keep any, we were too lazy to clean them. It was a lot fun. Get way to start out the summer.

The Annual Memorial Day Ball Reunion. My Aunt Louis and Grandma and Uncle Wilbur.

The Ball Family. We got the reunion inside this year. The wind has been terrible and I'm glad we did, it was much better. The family is growing with little ones, but it seems like we are getting smaller every year as it seems to get harder to get families together. But we are very blessed family and most of the family was there.

The Men of the family having a talk in the kitchen.

The kids all headed to the waterpark after lunch.
Zach and Dad testing out the water.

Our little fish, he loves water.

He loved going down the slide just as much.

Zach and Daddy enjoying the dad at the waterpark.

Kailey's first T-ball game. She did really good. Hit the first time up to bat.

Kailey and her T-ball team. She has a really good coach this year and had them all lined up on their own sets. They did a really good job for there first game.
