The last two weeks I have been busy getting ready for the Enid Craft show. For the kids the summer kind of came to a stop. We didn't do much. The 4th came and gone. The first year that I didn't work fireworks. Were where in a burn banned and it effected the firework selling. Probably on of our worst years. It was kind of weird not working the 4th, we were all kind of lost on what to do.
The kids headed out to Gage for lunch with Nana Barnes and I headed to the firework stand to see if they needed help, however they never needed it. The kids came back that evening we finally decided that maybe we should cook out and try and enjoy a 4th for once.
After a yummy cookout we headed to the town firework show. Which I haven't seen up close for over 20 years, we usually watch from the firework stand. So the kids and Aunt Ash headed out to the show. The kids were excited and were ready, but that was short lived. The show began and kids were terrified. They were both crying and screaming so we had to put them in the car. So much for that. I can't say I like fireworks either. I think they are a waste of money.
Boom there goes 100.00 bucks.
Another hundred
Another hundred
It lasted about 15 minutes. It was okay but not too impressed.
After the 4th I had to get busy for the craft show. The house was out of control for a week and I worked my butt off to get new blocks done.
I need to new space.
The craft show was one day so that was nice. But it was hot, the ac wasn't working when were unpacking our stuff but they finally got it fixed before it opened. Terri and I are living and learning with every craft show. We are super excited about getting our space on looking better and looking like a store front. We have a couple craft shows that we are looking forward to. I think we have decided we need to go bigger so we can make some money. The last three craft shows have been 25- 30 vendors. We had many comments on our stuff and that was encouraging.
We definitely need a bigger space. 10x10 just isn't big enough. I am going to work on looking on cabinets or shelves to display my blocks.
Onto the next craft show in a couple months.
